Etu — the Absolute / First Principles

- Etu (Afa: Aka Obi, "Mind of God"/Divine Essence/"soul of the matter") — the underlying principle of all creation; "the How." Biko gosim etu e si-eme ya — "show me how it is done" — is a request for the Etu behind a thing.

- Etu is the Absolute — both the path and the goal; it cannot be defined (nothing defines itself) but can be known: all there is, is Principle (Etu) and Process (creation); all processes reveal their principles — hence meditation works, hence one can know God. Etu has no opposites; Etu is unity — and otu (one) is its tonal cousin. Etu is, in essence, Chi.

- The method-instruction: Uzu amaro akpu ogene, ya nee Egbe anya n'odu — the blacksmith who cannot fashion the twin gong should watch the kite's tail. And "seeing with the eye" (afulu m gi n'anya = I love you) means observing with love, free of prejudice — for Ife onye acho ka o fu: whatever one looks for is what one finds (illustrated by the missionary who saw Nri as "the seat of the devil" while Dr. Jeffreys saw the holy city).

- Required mind-state: Obi Ofu/Obi Ofo — the open, unbiased, relaxed heart.

- [T2 — Lọọlọ Ama Chi] Etu = "First Principles" (Musk's phrase) millennia early; the Igbo language itself as "a technology all its own" — engineered to explain, remember, transmit and disguise knowledge without writing.
